We caught up with Kirk at the Aero Precision and Stag Arms booth, showcasing their brand-new lever guns. Kirk emphasized that these are very early prototypes, but they wanted to share their progress due to the project’s accelerated development.
Both rifles, while featuring the same action, offer distinct styles. The Aero model boasts modern furniture, including an adjustable cheek comb and a full rail for accessories.
It also features a threaded barrel, available in 16 and 18-inch lengths, to accommodate suppressors.
The Stag Arms version, on the other hand, is more traditional, aimed at those seeking a classic experience. These rifles merge traditional design with modern manufacturing, a hallmark of both brands.
Kirk pointed out the impressive quality of the prototypes, particularly the laminate stock and the smooth action. The rifles will be available in 30-30 and 45-70 at launch, with plans for additional calibers in the future.

Regarding availability, Kirk hopes for a 2025 release, with more updates expected at the next show.
Though these prototypes are only a week old and were limited to how much they could be shot at Range Day, their polished appearance speaks to the manufacturers’ expertise.
Kirk also mentioned that the furniture is compatible with 1895 models, allowing for easy customization for those who already own a Marlin.
