Recent encounters with grizzly bears in Montana have heightened concerns, with separate incidents leading to defensive fatalities, reports the Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks in their latest news releases.
One person was killed in a grizzly bear attack near Ovando, Montana, east of Missoula. Authorities say the person was traveling with a larger group of cyclists, and was camping for the night.
In less than two weeks, four hunters have been attacked by grizzly bears in Montana in the same small stretch of wilderness in the Gravelly Mountains.
