I had the opportunity to witness some of the newest products and updates from Streamlight at SHOT Show 2024. Their theme for the year focused on rechargeability and candela.
Among the notable additions is the TLR-7 X, TLR-6 HL, Strion 2020, and all new light heads.
Streamlight TLR-7 X
The TLR-7 X introduces a rechargeable CR123A size battery, equipped with a USB C port for easy charging. This update makes the TLR-7 X a multi-fuel device, allowing users to interchangeably use the rechargeable Streamlight SL-B9 battery or the traditional CR123A without the need for additional accessories.
This new model is intended to be a replacement for the original TLR-7 weapon light while maintaining holster compatibility. Also, run time is listed as 1.5 hours with a CR123A or 1.0 hours using the SL-B9 rechargeable battery.
Streamlight TLR-6 HL
Not stopping there, Streamlight has also enhanced the popular TLR-6 with the TLR-6 HL, denoting high lumen.
Furthermore, the light has boosted lumens from 100 to 300, along with an impressive increase in candela to 42,500. The TLR-6 HL comes with a new rechargeable SL-B2 battery and a convenient two-bay battery charge case, offering 20 minutes of runtime per battery.
Streamlight Strion 2020
Additionally, the Strion 2020 takes center stage, building upon its predecessor’s success in the automotive and law enforcement industries.
The mode select switch allows users to easily toggle between low, medium, and high settings. With an updated battery, the Stinger 2020 now boasts 1200 lumens and 28,000 candela. This will continue to work will all previous Strion chargers.
Streamlight HPL Face Cap
To complement their weapon lights, Streamlight introduces the HPL face cap, designed to ship with TLR-RM or Rail Mount lights.
This face cap increases candela and throw without compromising runtime or lumen output, meeting the demands of users who have been seeking more candela.
Those eager to get their hands on these innovations can anticipate the HPL face cap hitting the market in February, priced at an MSRP of $70.
The TLR-6 HL and TLR-7 X, both shipping in February as well, come with varying models and laser options, with prices ranging from $230 to $280.
