Estimated reading time: 3 minutes

At Shot Show 2024, Steiner gave us a look at the Predator 4S – a compact hunting scope that promises to redefine expectations.

Our buddy, Hal, walked us through Steiner’s latest offerings on video. The Predator 4S that we covered is the shortest 4-16 scope in the industry, boasting a 30% weight reduction compared to its predecessors, which is very important in many hunting applications.

The new Predator 4S from Steiner is the most compact 4-16x optic on the market.

The Predator 4S features Steiner’s new ultra-compact 4X optical system. It also incorporates a side parallax, reticle illumination, and a lightweight construction of only 18 oz. The scope’s rear focal plane design is complemented by a glass-etched S3 BDC reticle. With capped MOA adjustments for windage and elevation, this scope ensures precision without sacrificing ease of use.

Set to hit the market later this year, the Predator 4S comes with an attractive price tag of $1,099.00, offering shooters access to German glass quality at an affordable price point.

Another addition to Steiner’s lineup is the compatibility of the Predator 4S with the new Steiner C35 generation 2 clip-on system. Coupled together, the user can seamlessly integrate the Predator 4S with the clip-on while maintaining a short footprint, eliminating the need for modifications to the daylight hunting scope while having thermal capabilities.

The C35 clip-on system is designed for convenience, placing controls within easy reach without extending over the rifle’s end.

The Gen 2 C35 features 640 resolution and a 35mm objective. It also has a 12-micron sensor that promises top-tier thermal performance. Priced at $3,499.00 MSRP, the clip-on provides an affordable yet high-quality solution for thermal enthusiasts.
