At the SHOT Show 2024 Range Day, Silencer Central revealed their latest innovation, the Banish Speed K suppressor, drawing considerable attention. We met with Zach from Silencer Central, who provided an in-depth look at this new product.
Designed for AR (5.56mm) suppressors, the Speed K stands out for its compact and stout build. This 3D-printed suppressor is made from Inconel, a material known for its robustness, ensuring no barrel length or firing schedule restrictions.
Zach highlighted that even with a 10.5-inch barrel, the Speed K suppressor achieves sound reduction below 140 decibels at the ear, a key performance metric. Notably, it manages to keep peak back pressure to just 5%, a significant advantage during high firing schedules.
Responding to law enforcement feedback, Silencer Central focused on making a shorter suppressor without compromising performance. The Speed K’s wider design increases volume, contributing to its noise reduction capability.

Despite its Inconel construction, the suppressor remains relatively lightweight at 14.1 ounces without the mount, appealing to those seeking a balance between durability and weight.
Silencer Central is not just about innovative products; their customer service simplifies the purchasing process. Zach shared that they assist customers with the Form 4 and trust setup, ensuring a hassle-free experience until the suppressor is delivered to their doorstep.
The Speed K is not limited to law enforcement use; it’s available to anyone. It’s particularly suitable for tactical AR setups and those with shorter barrels who need a compact, efficient suppressor. A future titanium version might be in the works for users preferring an even lighter option.
Priced at $1,199, including a mount, the Speed K is positioned as an accessible, high-performance suppressor. We can’t wait to get one in for a full review.
