New Glock Trigger, Binary SCAR, And More! Trigger Roundup — SHOT Show 2025

At SHOT this year, there were many new trigger options from a handful of different manufacturers, so I’ve compiled a handful of my favorite here.

This product roundup includes drop-in AR triggers from Rock River Arms, a binary SCAR trigger from Franklin Armory, plus Glock, Remington 700, Tikka, and RPR triggers from Triggertech.

New AR Triggers from Rock River Arms

At SHOT Show 2025, Rock River Arms introduced two exciting new drop-in trigger options: the Duty Trigger and the Performance Trigger.

The Duty Trigger features a 4.5 lb pull weight, while the Performance Trigger offers a lighter 3.5 lb pull. You can easily distinguish the two by their housing colors, with the Duty Trigger in red and the Performance Trigger in blue.

I had the chance to try both triggers on the show floor, and I was blown away by their crisp break and incredibly short reset. Whether you prefer a flat or curved profile, you can purchase both triggers with either trigger shoe profile.

Rock River Arms’ Duty Trigger (with curved shoe option) is on the left, identifiable by the red trigger housing. The Performance Trigger is on the blue trigger on the right with the flat-faced trigger shoe option.

These new triggers retail for $200, but their street price will be closer to $160. They offer incredible value for the quality they deliver.

Rock River Arms is clearly aiming to make these an unbeatable option for both duty and precision applications for the price. You can purchase them individually or as an upgrade for the rifles they sell.

A rep I spoke with said these triggers are ready to ship now, though they aren’t listed on their website yet. I expect them to be available for sale soon—within the next week or month at the latest.

If you’re in the market for a quality drop-in trigger, this new offering from Rock River Arms should be on your radar.

Binary FN SCAR Trigger by Franklin Armory

I’m really excited about Franklin Armory’s new SKR-C1 Binary Trigger for the FN SCAR, which just launched at SHOT Show 2025. For FN SCAR owners who’ve been craving the ability to shoot in binary mode, this is a fun and unique upgrade.

The SKR-C1 allows you to fire on both the pull and release of the trigger, just like other firearms that use Franklin Armory’s binary Firing System. This new trigger gives you three selectable modes: safe, semi-automatic, and binary.

Though I did not get an exact number on what the trigger pull weight is, I can tell you from first-hand experience that it provides a lighter, crisper trigger pull than the factory trigger on my SCAR 15P.

The SKR-C1 from Franklin Armory is a new binary trigger (and the only option on the market currently) that is compatible with most SCAR rifles. Here, it is in the 3rd position which is the binary fire mode.

On top of being fun to use, the safety features are top-notch—if you ever need to cancel the release round, just switch to semi or safe before releasing the trigger.

Retailing at $499.99, it will ship by the end of Q1 2025, so keep an eye out for it if you want to upgrade your FN SCAR.

Yes, $500 is not cheap, but it’s probably the cheapest upgrade available for your FN SCAR, let’s be honest.

Glock, Tikka, Rem700, and RPR Triggers from TriggerTech

First up, TriggerTech is unveiling its highly anticipated Glock trigger, which has been in development for the last two to three years.

The best part?

It’s fully adjustable and drop-in, with no frame modifications required. You can fine-tune the trigger pull from 2.5 to 5.5 pounds, making it super customizable to fit your preference.

Unlike most Glock triggers that use a trigger bar safety, TriggerTech has designed a unique safety system that wraps around the entire trigger, keeping the plunger and striker safeties in check.

The result is a clean, crisp break with a short reset—some have even described it as 1911-like, with no creep or slack. It’s a huge upgrade from the standard striker-fired triggers out there.

This trigger will be available by the end of June, retailing between $250 and $300.

TriggerTech Continued…

But that’s not all—TriggerTech is also rolling out three new rifle triggers, and they’re seriously impressive. The big one is the Tikka trigger, which fits the Tikka T1x and T3.

You can adjust this single-stage, fully drop-in trigger all the way down to one pound with a minimal 0.0001″ of overtravel.

They’re also releasing a new REM 700 Diamond trigger, which has a redesigned geometry to shorten the reach and provide a cleaner, crisper break.

Finally, they’ve got a drop-in trigger for the Ruger RPR, designed to replace the factory trigger with something more precise and reliable.

All three of these will be available by June, though the exact pricing for the RPR and Tikka models is still TBD. If you’re looking to upgrade your trigger game, TriggerTech is definitely worth keeping an eye on this year!
