Leupold’s New 2-10×30 Mark 5HD — SHOT Show 2023

  • by

Leupold has released a 2-10x extension of their fantastic Mark 5HD product line. This optic is designed to have a slim profile and low weight but doesn’t skimp on performance.

The low power range, coupled with the adequate 10x magnification was built to maximize the performance of tactical carbines at any range. Because this optic is a first focal plane model, the reticle will appear small and thin on the lowest power, allowing the shooter fast target acquisition and a clutter-free view.

On the highest power, however, the reticle will appear zoomed in and the elevation and windage marks will be usable for shot adjustments. The Mark 5HD product line is well-known for its ruggedness and reliability, and the 2-10×30 optic will undoubtedly continue to perform in such a manner.

The Mark 5HD 2-10×30 is available in both MIL and MOA models.

The 2-10×30 comes in at just 24 ounces and is only 11.2 inches long, keeping the rifle system that it’s attached to lightweight and portable. Three models are available at launch.

One of these is an illuminated model with Leupold’s TMR (MIL) reticle and the other two are non-illumination models, with one having the TMR reticle and the other having a PR1-MOA reticle.

All of these offerings have a first focal plane reticle and a three-turn tactical turret that provides 34.9 MILS of elevation adjustment. The windage turret, like with all Mark 5HD optics, is capped.

The elevation turret has a zero lock as well as a rotation-indication system.

These scopes are expected to ship in the late spring/early summer and can be purchased for $1,999.99 – $2,499.99 depending on the model. Of course, the illuminated model will be the more expensive option while the non-illuminated will cost less.
