The SHOT Show 2024 brought us a plethora of exciting developments, but one standout has been the unveiling of the Seekins Precision Havak SLAM Rifle. This game-changer in the world of hunting and bolt-action rifles has turned heads for all the right reasons.
Seekins Precision, known for their meticulous craftsmanship, has finally released the Havak SLAM Rifle. It’s been a long time coming, with teasers and prototypes sparking conversations last year.
Now, it’s here, and it’s everything we hoped for and more. Available in 308, 6.5 PRC, and 7 PRC, it’s a custom build straight from Seekins’ Custom Shop. The rifle sports hand-laid carbon fiber components and a custom action. Except for the trigger, rubber butt pad, and pistol grip every other component is completely manufactured by Seekins Precision!
The Havak SLAM isn’t just any rifle; it’s a chassis system disguised under a sleek carbon fiber exterior. It features a full chassis rail, M-LOK compatibility, and a range of mounting options for bipods and tripods.
The barrel, far from being the lightweight component you might expect in a rifle weighing just over 5 pounds, maintains significant heft to ensure stability and accuracy. The 308 model impresses with a mere 5-pound weight for its 16-inch barrel, with the 6.5 PRC and 7 PRC models slightly heavier due to longer barrels.

One of the Havak Slam’s standout features is its folding stock, with an incredibly tight lockup. This not only enhances portability but ensures the rifle’s durability and reliability. The carbon fiber magazine and lightweight yet sturdy bottom metal contribute to the rifle’s minimal weight without compromising strength.
Seekins didn’t skimp on the trigger either, opting for a TriggerTech Diamond trigger known for its adjustability and crispness. This, along with an aluminum action and integrated Picatinny rail, makes the Havak Slam a precision tool tailored for the serious hunter.
The Havak Slam Rifle has an MSRP of $4,650. While on the higher end, this reflects its status as a complete custom rifle, with each unit receiving individual attention and testing before reaching the customer. It’s a significant investment, but for those in pursuit of unparalleled performance and craftsmanship, it’s a worthy one.
Seekins Precision is ramping up production to meet this high demand, promising more shooters the chance to experience this firearm.
