CZ’s New Scorpion Will Save You Money… — SHOT Show 2024

Estimated reading time: 4 minutes

CZ-USA has just released a companion to the Scorpion Evo 3 S1 pistol caliber carbine, and it’s chambered for .22 long rifle.

The original Scorpions are chambered for 9mm, so this new offering in .22 is a perfect way to train with virtually no recoil. Plus, it’s a big-time money saver!

The overall open length for the .22 is an inch shorter than the 9mm version at 33.9″.

The Scorpion Evo 3 S1 in .22 is virtually indistinguishable from the 9mm version. It has all the same controls and feel as the 9mm.

The Evo’s folding stock is a key feature.

Its folded length is just 26″.

The stock telescopes and folds for transport. Even though the stock is folded, the weapon will still fire. The stock provides a solid cheek weld with enough drop that the included iron sights line up well.

The Evo .22 includes aperture rear sights and a protected front post sight.

The aperture rear sight and post front sight are both shrouded on the sides for protection. Position them anywhere on the full-length top Picatinny rail, or remove them and add the optics of your choice.

There are three M-Lok slots on each side of the handguard at the front and two more raised slots under the charging handle. You can position the charging handle on either side of the gun. The handle collapses flat against the body after it’s released and it does not reciprocate.
