Recently, Christensen Arms introduced its latest addition to the MPR lineup, the MPR rimfire. I caught up with Ryan Warner, a representative for Christensen Arms, to get the lowdown on what makes this new 22LR rifle stand out.
One of the standout features that Warner emphasized is the utilization of a 7075 billet aluminum chassis. This is a standard across all MPR rifles.
“You’re getting the same great standard features as our other MPR models, with a robust and lightweight foundation,” he explained.
Available in black, desert brown, or tungsten Cerakote, the MPR rimfire boasts a folding stock. This is a feature that Warner highlighted as “huge.” This design allows users to fold the stock down for easy transport, creating a more compact package for on-the-go convenience.
Thankfully, the rifle features a lightweight FFT or Flash Forged Technology handguard. The stock also has an adjustable length of pull and cheek riser.

The inclusion of QD mounts for slings, a standard AR pistol grip (which can be swapped out), and a zero MOA optic rail were all mentioned as practical additions to the MPR rimfire.
This rifle utilizes Ruger 10/22 magazines, an industry standard that adds versatility to the firearm. Additionally, the MPR rimfire is equipped with a Trigger Tech trigger, which is one of the best triggers in the industry if not the best.
“With a sub MOA guarantee at 50 yards, we’ve really harnessed the power of carbon fiber in this rifle,” Warner added, emphasizing Christensen’s commitment to performance and precision.
For those who want options, the MPR rimfire will be available in both 22 long rifle and magnum calibers. While 22lr is currently available, other calibers will be listed as they are released over on the Christensen Arms website.
As for availability, the Christensen MPR Rimfire is shipping in 60 to 90 days from now. This puts them on the shelves sometime around March for shipping.
With an MSRP of $1,250, the MPR rimfire is positioned as a noteworthy option for those on the lookout for a feature-packed rimfire rifle.
