Bersa made a big splash at SHOT Show 2024, unveiling a new line of 1911 pistols and polymer handguns. Raphael, the Director of Sales and Marketing at Bersa, gave us a preview of their latest offerings set to energize the market this spring.
The highlight of the showcase was the B1911, which is currently chambered in .45 ACP. The B1911 marks a significant move for Bersa as they shift to full production in the United States, specifically their new factory in Georgia.
Crafted with a 416 stainless steel slide and frame, the B1911 features a checkered front strap, VZ Grips, ambidextrous controls, an iron Novak rear sight, and an Ameriglo tritium front sight. With future plans to expand the caliber options to include 9mm and 10mm, Bersa is catering to a wide range of shooters.
Bersa’s B1911 comes in six distinct finishes, offering shooters the ability to select their preferred style, including high polish stainless and flat dark earth. The MSRP ranges from $999 to $1,099, promising affordability without compromising quality.

Beyond the steel, Bersa is also innovating in polymer pistols. Drawing from the success of the Argentine-made BP9CC, Bersa is extending its BP series with all manufacturing transitioning to the U.S.
The tentatively named BP13, a subcompact 9mm, will offer a standard 13-round magazine or an optional extended 15-round mag, with potential compatibility with Smith & Wesson Shield magazines.
Not to be outdone by the subcompact, the full-size variant in the BP series will feature a TPR9 magazine with a generous 17+1 capacity, hollow night sights, an optics-ready slide, and a ported barrel for performance shooting. Despite being in the prototype stage, the trigger response has already garnered positive attention.
Bersa anticipates a May release for the new polymer handguns, while the B1911s are expected to start shipping this week. As the market eagerly awaits these models, Bersa recommends keeping an eye on dealers and online platforms like GunsAmerica for availability.
