A staple in the backpack and outdoor apparel arena, Badlands expands upon its innovative line of Adaptive Coloration Technology with the deigned-to-perform-in-cold-weather Pyre Jacket and Bib. Available in both Approach and Approach FX patterns, Adaptive Coloration Technology, due to its depth, allows the patterns to react to different lighting conditions to change the look of the camo. If you’re hunting in brighter light, the lighter tones pop. If you’re in a darker environment, the dark tones come to life.
The jacket offers 160-grams of quality Primaloft Silver Insulation. In addition, the inside of the jacket features a thick fleece to add additional warmth. According to Badland’s Blake VanTussenbrook, the jacket, with minimal layering underneath, kept him warm and comfortable in 0-degree Fahrenheit temps.
The Pyre Bibs are fitted with a thin, uninsulated upper to prevent bulk. Moving down, the bibs provide160-gram Primaloft Silver Insulation. Lower zippers on the bibs extend up past the knee, allowing users to easily slide into the bibs even when wearing boots.
Another pleasing feature of the jacket is the enlarged upper pocket that is complete with a rangefinder tether as well as an expandable bungee pocket for rangefinder storage. The Pyre sleeves feature Velcro closure and the hood is a three-point adjustable model with a brim to help keep the weather off your face. The bib is complete with hand-warmer pockets as well as a pair of sizable thigh pockets. Both garments are water- and wind-proof and are covered by Badland’s Unconditional Lifetime Warranty.
The Pyre Jacket and Bib are currently available. The jacket has an MSRP of $359.99 and the bib will cost $379.99.
