GunsAmerica hit the SHOT Show 2024 floors and stumbled upon a fresh face in the handgun market. Nestled in the energetic basement area, Rost Martin introduced their first striker-fired pistol, the RM1C. Priced at a competitive $459 MSRP, the Dallas-based firearm manufacturer is firing up the industry with this new offering.

The RM1C boasts a 4-inch hammer-forged barrel and arrives optics-ready, complete with a metal RMR plate. But Rost Martin didn’t stop there. Recognizing the shooter’s desire to customize, they made additional optic plates available post-purchase.

According to Chris from Rost Martin, it’s the details that make the RM1C stand out. The slide features anti-glare serrations and an XD/XDM sight footprint. Plus, it’s fully ambidextrous. That’s right—ambi mag release, and ambi slide stop.

Now let’s talk about the trigger. It’s got a crisp break, an incredibly short reset, and the pull? They’re keeping it at around five pounds or less. And with two magazines shipped with the pistol—one standard 15+1 and an extended 17+1—Rost Martin is not skimping on capacity.

They’re even rolling out 10-round magazines for those in restrictive states, all compatible with CZ P-10 magazine bodies.

True with the RM1C pistol at SHOT Show 2024.
MSRP is $459.

The RM1C aims to sit low in the shooter’s hand for better recoil control and comes with a textured grip that won’t wear out your clothes during concealed carry. Safety-wise, the trigger blade prevents accidental discharge, and a red cocked indicator gives instant readiness feedback.

Breaking down the RM1C is simple and doesn’t require a trigger pull. It’s a piece of cake for maintenance and cleaning.

And there’s more—interchangeable back straps to fit all hand sizes, with the medium strap already pleasing the crowd.

Rost Martin has packed the RM1C with features usually found in higher-priced guns, challenging competitors in a crowded market. Made proudly in the USA, this handgun is an affordable option that’s definitely worth a look.
