Yup, you read that right, the Humpback is now in .20 gauge. Browning’s beloved A5 semiautomatic shotgun has been a favorite for many years and after popular demand, they’ve finally expanded the chamberings from 12 gauge and 16 gauge only. Browning’s A5 20 should be even more attractive to upland hunters.
Smaller Alloy Receiver
Because the receiver is smaller and more compact, the A5 20 weighs a pound less than the 12 gauge version. That’s significant when you pack it in hand through the hills chasing dogs and birds. Combined with lighter .20 gauge loads, this gun weighs a lot less than its big brothers.
26″ & 28″ Barrels
With a short 26″ barrel option, this gun is even more appealing to upland hunters, though the 28″ is no slough for other chores. Both include Browning’s Speed load function.
The barrels include Full, Modified, Improved, and Cylinder Invector chokes. There’s a bright fiber optic sight at the front, and a brass bead mid-way down the barrel to help you line up on target. Plus, the barrel is vent ribbed.
Fine Styling
Of course, the Browning A5 20’s trigger is gold-plated. The stocks are made of Grade 1 Turkish Walnut with a glossy finish that goes perfectly with the glossy blued barrel and receiver. Naturally, the stock is checkered and the pattern is both modern and traditional.
