The FUSION CLAW, a top-tier headborne modular technology, integrates night vision, communications, IFF, AI-informed power prioritization, multi-spectral illumination, and mission recording. This all-in-one, lightweight package offers versatility in the field.
Its design focuses on modularity, scalability, adaptability, and efficient power use. This approach equips operators to focus effectively on their missions.
Wilcox spearheads the FUSION CLAW’s creation, working alongside Avon Protection, ARA, INVISIO, PEAK, ATTOLLO Engineering, XO Charge, Surefire, and Juggernaut Case. This consortium collectively drives the system’s development.
A key feature of the FUSION CLAW is its wide compatibility. It works not only with the US Army’s current night vision devices but also anticipates future systems like the Integrated Visual Augmentation System, ensuring its long-term relevance.
Curious about this new system, I had the chance to peek through the eyepiece at SHOT Show 2024. The view was undeniably impressive.
Compact in size, akin to a red dot, the housing minimally obstructed my field of view. It resembled the clear lens of glasses, seamlessly projecting a digital image into my line of sight.

With potential for hands-free information access, Wilcox emphasized the daytime utility of the FUSION CLAW.
They leave night operations up to the L3Harris ENVGBs. The unit draws power from the same connectors as the ENVGB’s. Also, the helmet is equipped with receivers for adding additional information to the display.
The FUSION CLAW Headborne System integrates the best of many products and combines them to provide a helmet with powerful capabilities.
I see augmented reality and heads up displays becoming all the more popular, and for good reason. More information when seconds count can mean all the difference.
